This self-published artist book contains is a text work exploring my embodied relationship to cigarettes and notions of self care and coping during times of crisis. Tracking the ways in which the gesture of rolling cigarettes has flirted in and out of my life, the text meditates on the current resurgence of this habit during the pandemic, the somatic knowledge held within a gesture, and the loss of my Grandmother to lung cancer as a child.
