PARKING STRUCTURES (2018 – )

PARKING STRUCTURES (2018 – ) is an ongoing investigation into the ad-hoc secondary economies that develop around large scale recurring events. Named as an homage to the vibrant and divisive backyard parking economy that emerges each August during the Pacific National Exhibition in East Vancouver’s Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood the project is currently investigating economies in Vancouver and Calgary related to the PNE and The Calgary Stampede respectively.
